BB CREAM + FOUNDATION !

YES u hear me right .... BB CREAM + FOUNDATION ! but of coz not mix and slap it on your face lah ...

I know I am a bit fickle minded lately ... and I still remember I've mentioned in my earlier post that I swear by MAC makeup base ... but of late, I am a bit siao (crazy) over BB cream, prob due to the f*cking breakouts on my skin for no apparent reason.

This is what I'll USUALLY do; the usual skincare routine, follow by BB CREAM! that's where I would normally stop and out for the day ...

BUT TODAY, I am going a bit overboard to have a better coverage and still have the luxury of this super expensive BB CREAM on my face.

BB CREAM AS MY MAKEUP BASE! YES ! U HEAR ME RIGHT!

follow by a light coverage foundation & concealer .. some shading & highlighting ... and out to WORK! (sounds like too much going on isn't it :p) ....... *sssshhhhh* was out doing makeup for a friend so blemished skin is a NO-NO else ppl will be saying " Apa punya makeup artist ni muka sendiri pun satu macam" LOL!!!

VERDICT : GREAT! and i am a bit gaga over this combination now hehehehe ... give it a try yourself and tell me what you think .. u can send me some pics too hehehe and I'm more than happy to post them here :)

I've been having some minor skin prob since a month ago and as usual i blame it on products :p hahahahaha eg that foundation caused breakout, that moisturiser is too oily for my skin .. or worse still weather is too hot .. i know, pathetic me ..
And the stupid me will also stop using all products and stick to the basics or even go to the extreme of buying new ones hahaha absolutely crazy ... but well if I don't I wouldn't have bought this BB cream (pic above) and give you all (my beloved readers) my truthful opinions hehehehehe

Okie dokie ... here are my 2 cents worth :p

1. stays matte all day long but still gives you the "glow" not oily look
2. even out skintone
3. light coverage
4. suitable for combination/sensitive skin like ME
5. contains whitening ingredients- be mindful if you are sensitive to whitening stuffs
6. slightly pricey comparing to some other similar products - selling @ RM 119 (KBS, Sg Wang) - got mine @ RM84 (christmas promo i think) but u can prob get it cheaper by ordering online *google google*

REVIEW - Skin Food Aloe Sun BB Cream SPF 20

I think by now everyone should have already known what is BB Cream ... but in a nutshell, an all in one moisturiser-foundation-concealer-corrector-sunscreen (got the idea?)

Skin Food is one of the best selling consumer skincare/cosmetics line in Korea and the crowds at the stores are normally CRAZY!... try visiting Seoul, walk down the Myeongdong Street and you will know what I mean.

Anyway, this BB cream is slightly heavier in texture and coverage, compared to Faceshop Q&C, so it is recommended for those who prefers higher coverage.

As the texture is a tad bit heavier, you need more time to blend the product in. LESS IS MORE!
Comes in 2 shades ONLY so good luck guys/gals. My color is more of SHADE 1 .. but again I am not a fan of BB cream although it claims that it will adhere to your skin after a while and matches your skintone BUT it never works on me .. I dont know about others though. Foundation is still my utmost preference.

That aside, I think this product is worth buying simply because :
1. I think Faceshop products are getting more and more expensive
2. This BB Cream works almost similar with Faceshop Q&C, BUT it is only selling @ RM54.90 for 50g & YES sunscreen is included. (Double ++)
3. Heavier in coverage so you tend to use less hence save $$ hehehe
4. ALOE VERA being added is good to soothe the skin especially those with sensitive skin.

Oh yeah, SKIN FOOD ALOE SUN BB CREAM kinda surprised me too .. coz it doesnt look as flat as Faceshop Q&C when applied. Finishing is kinda dewy and it gives some luminousity to the skin which is good .. coz your skin is not that MATTE naturally so a bit of that dewy effect wont kill ya.

All-in-all, a good product if you are patient enough to apply & wait till it matches your skintone before you step out of the house. (for me sorry la .. I need instant correction hahaha)

Oh yea, if you can't really find your shade but still LOVE BB Cream no matter what, try applying BRONZER as an additional step.
IT will corrects the tone .. tested and it worked.

I always tell my friends this : CONCEALER & BRONZER are men's best friend hahaha .. seriously .. you wont look overly done and yet look FRESH :)

SKINFOOD ALOE SUN BB CREAM SPF 20 is retailing @ RM 54.90 (50g) .. you can visit Liza @ Pavilion Counter.

REVIEW - The Face Shop BB CREAM

Well to be frank, I am not a BIG FAN of BB Cream although it is packed with a hell lot of GOODS and not to mention easy-to-apply too. I still prefer the conventional way; sunscreen, make up base & follow by foundation.

Okie that aside,
The Face Shop BB Cream is worth recommending simply because it is better than its competitors in the market right now.

Quick & Clean Oil-Free BB Cream is the one in green packaging.
Recommended if you are of fairer skin tone .. Otherwise please apply half an hour before you step out of your house otherwise you will look like applying the wrong shade of foundation and it looks horrible.
All-in-all, a not bad product considering the fact that it contains tea tree oil which is suitable even for blemish skin. It helps to soothe down the redness and even out your skintone.
Oil-free formula is especially good for those with oily skin.
You can even apply this on your eyes area to lighten the dark circle a little.
Although SPF is not being mentioned, but Titanium Dioxide is part of the ingredients and it is a sunscreen ingredient, which protects skin against UVA and UVB radiation. So I reckon, it will help a little.
Recommended for those who just want to even out the skin tone and prefer hassle-free make up. Suitable for guys too.

Retailing @ RM59.90 @ 35ml.

PRO : Oil-Free, Suitable for oily or blemish skin, contains Tea Tree Oil, smells good, affordable
CON : Might look a tad bit ashy if applied too much, No SPF

Well, lets go to the other one with SPF, called The Skin Extra BB Cream SPF20 PA++.

Works almost similarly as the Quick & Clean, only some of the ingredients are different and it comes with SPF.
Application technique and shade are all the same.
Not really oil-free though so please opt for Quick&Clean if you have oily skin.
Gives a radiant glow and again as BB Cream always claim to match your skintone but please bear in mind that it will look a tad bit ashy upon application and you gotta wait till it oxidises to actually match your skintone.
As SPF formula is being added, this product is being sold at a higher price.
Retailing @ RM99.90 for a 45ml.

PRO : contains SPF, smells good (as usual)
CON : a bit pricey

TIPS :
A little goes a long way, so please dont slap it on thinking that it will matches your skintone eventually and it will gives you a better coverage. NO! you will only look ashy and UGLY.
You can also use it as a make up base.
Although a lot of people just go thru the usual cleansing routine, I would personally recommend to use a MAKEUP REMOVER or Double Cleanse to really remove the product from your skin.
